It's Hollywood, man. Sex sells and all that jazz. And with horror and sexuality in particular, there's a lot of theories on the effects of that pairing on human psychology. Both the possible desensitization for audiences to graphic sex and violence, and whether or not those things are subconsciously connected in people's brains.
