[Venkman knows he's being played like a fiddle. And if this were an actual argument, he'd make more of an effort to resist. As it is, though, he sighs, and presses a kiss to Ray's forehead.]

Shuddup. You know I'm having a good time.

[ghoststanning]

[Ray laughs lightly at the kiss, and responds by wrapping his arms around Venkman in a bear hug. Luckily he's finally starting to warm up so it's not painfully cold. He stays like that for a moment, before he speaks again in a muffled voice.]

I still can't believe you're my husband.

[At last, Ray's attempts to leech all the warmth out of Venkman's body are successful.

Whatever slight irritation was left in Venkman's tone and expression is gone, now. He softens, leaning into Ray's touch.]

It's... surreal. I didn't think we'd ever even have the chance- let alone have the balls to do it. Y'know, officially.

[ghoststanning]

[If he wasn't so dang cozy right now, Ray would move away to playfully shove Peter. But for now he'll settle on wrapping a leg around Peter's waist.]

More like you didn't think you'd have the balls to do it. If we coulda back home, I would have proposed to all of you guys in college! Granted, Winston wasn't with us yet, but I bet I could still propose to him as soon as possible.

[The change of position is a bit of a surprise, but absolutely not an unwelcome one, given the faint smirk on Venkman's face.]

Hey, that's not- ... Actually, yeah, you're right. I dunno if I coulda done it even if we could've, back home. Hell, it took us... almost a whole year to get around to proposing in this dimension. And even that was basically an accident.

[ghoststanning]

[Ray whines slightly at the mention of the accidental proposal.]

I still can't believe I slept through it. I would have given anything to surprise Egon with a marriage proposal! And you and Winston too!

[Venkman leans up, kissing Ray on the nose.]

Hush. You know leaving you out wasn't exactly the plan. Mostly 'cause there was no plan.

[Still, he can't say he regrets the way that whole ordeal went down. If Egon hadn't misinterpreted the whole situation, they might all still be beating around the marriage bush until- what, five years from now?

If they stay here that long.]

I knooow, but I would have killed to surprise you guys with a proposal just to see you guys react to it. It's so rare that I can get you all flustered!

Well, if that's all you want, I can think of a few ways you can try to fluster me now...

[It all circles back to this, doesn't it.

... Especially when Venkman really doesn't want to keep thinking about how he's kind of a coward when it comes to his public image.]

[ghoststanning]

[If Ray finds out that he accidentally made Venkman self conscious about how he cares about his public image he is going to be SO APOLOGETIC.

But for now he just buries his face in the crook of Venkman's neck, and he laughs.]

That's not what I mean and you know it! I don't get to be romantic with you guys enough and I really wanna.

[It's fine. He's not really that concerned- after all, everything that mattered back home doesn't mean a damn thing here. Not the ghosts, not the constant struggling with the mayor and city and the cops and the EPA, and not societal judgement. And yes, it took him a long time to come to terms with that than the others, but it all worked out in the end. Hence the wedding rings.]

Who said ya can't be romantic with what I have in mind?
